I went out on a limb and decided to see how Ryder would like Mango. I bought some from Henry’s and when I started to prepare them to be steamed, they were perfect for eating. I couldn’t resist and I ended up cutting half of the mangoes for Robert and I to eat. They were soooo delicious! One thing to be careful of with mangoes are the strings. I never realized that they were so stringy! I just used a really fine strainer to get all the strings out of the puree.
I wasn’t sure if Ryder was going to like it. I tasted it after I made it and it seemed very tart. I put it into 2oz size containers and figured that I would try to give it to him as a dessert. He loved it!! I am so proud of him. He is well on his way to being my little foodie.

Ooh! Those look yummy… you still have my address, right?
Oh, wait, I don’t think fruit can cross the border. DRAT!
Mmmm… Mango.. I cut some up for my daughter today. We never pureed it though. I’ve thought about it, but she’s into finger foods now so would only be good for a smoothie. Anyways, hope he liked them!
